And this has been a particularly harsh lesson for me over the last month after the sudden passing of a friend.
I've struggled coming to terms with her loss, with the heartbreak I feel for her partner and our friends, and with how to articulate exactly how I'm feeling.
But like everything in life, these experiences shape who we are, they remind us of what's important in life, and they offer a time where we can slow down and remember the fun memories we have, which are often pushed aside when life gets busy.
So - my lesson for you today is to stop playing small. Stop pushing your own dreams aside, just because you are busy, or you have kids, or you feel the need to have constant stability and routine.
Life is short, and it's time to live each day with purpose, gratitude, and love.
If you only had one day to live, would you truly spend it doing something that doesn't set your soul alight?
We get so caught up with the rat race, with keeping up our perceived image on social media, and with the stresses of everyday life, that we forget to check in with OURSELVES and how we are feeling!
It's time to start letting your intuition guide you again. It's time to be honest about what you want, and get to work on creating the masterpiece that is your life.
Because at the end of the day, what we leave behind is memories - how do you want to be remembered?
